Villa Laetitia in Rue l'Ancient Pont
In the medieval centre of Bergerac the Villa Laetitia is one of our favourite restaurants.
The interior is a kind of French Bistro style with elegant chairs and tables and a pretty collection of pictures and ornaments - many of which are for sale.
The menu offers many Perigordine favourites such as duck and foie gras but all cooked with fresh seasonal products and in a delicious and innovative style.
Villa Laetitia is open Tuesday to Saturday, lunchtimes and evenings.
The lunchtime menu is 19 euros or 15 euros for two courses.
The evening menu is 28 euros for the 'Menu Elegance' or 36 euros for the 'Menu Prestige'.
On our last visit we had the evening express which is main course and desert (and in no way rushed despite the name) for 22 euros. There is of course 'a la carte'.
Main course: 'Medley of Lamb'.
Desert: Moelleux au Chocolat
Villa Laetitia is at 21 Rue de l'Ancient Pont in the old town of Bergerac. It is quite close to the river making for a lovely stroll after dinner.
Fom April to September they also have a terrace so you can sit outside.
